Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how Gallery – Android TV (“the App”, “we”) accesses, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information, including Google user data when you optionally connect Google Photos.

1. Data Access (what we access)

Device media (local): photos and videos stored on your Android TV / phone / USB, used only to display your gallery, slideshow, ambient screensaver, albums, and favorites on your device.

Google user data (optional — only if you connect Google Photos):

• Raw data: OAuth access/refresh tokens for pairing; metadata and media URLs for the specific photos/videos you select through the official Google Photos Picker (scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/photospicker.mediaitems.readonly). We do not request access to your entire Google Photos library outside the Picker selection.
• Aggregated / anonymized Google user data: we do not create or store aggregated or anonymized datasets from Google Photos user data for analytics, advertising, or any other secondary purpose.
• Google account profile beyond Photos: we do not request Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or other unrelated Google scopes.

Family Share (optional): photos you send from a phone to the TV over your local Wi‑Fi remain on your devices; this does not use Google Photos APIs.

2. Data Use (how we use it)

• Local media is used only to show and manage your gallery experience on your device.
• Google Photos data is used only to complete TV–phone pairing and to display the media you selected in the App (gallery / slideshow / ambient screensaver as you choose).
• We use Google user data solely to provide or improve these user-facing features. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit/lending decisions, or any prohibited purpose under Google’s User Data Policy (including Limited Use).

3. Data Transfer / Sharing

• We do not sell Google user data or other personal data.
• We do not transfer Google user data to data brokers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties.
• Google Sign-In / Google Photos Picker and Google Play Billing are provided by Google under Google’s policies when you use those features.
• Our pairing backend (gallerytvapp.com) temporarily handles OAuth pairing so the TV can receive tokens for the media you selected; it is not used to sell or broker your data.

4. Data Protection

• Pairing and OAuth flows use HTTPS.
• Tokens and selected-media references are stored only as needed for pairing and playback on your devices / our pairing service.
• We do not require a separate username/password account in the App.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Retention: pairing codes/tokens are kept only for the pairing/session lifecycle (short-lived codes expire). Selected Google Photos references needed to show media on the device are retained on the device until you disconnect, clear them, or uninstall.
• Deletion / revoke: disconnect Google Photos in the App; revoke access in your Google Account → Security → Third-party access. Uninstalling the App removes local App data on that device. You may also email us to request assistance: flagapplicationcompany@gmail.com.

6. Limited Use & AI/ML

The use of raw or derived user data received from Google Photos APIs / Photos Picker will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• We do not use Google Photos user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models.
• We do not transfer Google Photos user data to third-party AI/ML services for model training.
• We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising.

7. Purchases

Optional Pro subscriptions/lifetime purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment card details.

8. Your choices

• You control which photos are shown and which Google account you link.
• Google Photos connection is optional; the App works with local media without it.
• You can disconnect Google Photos in the App and revoke access in Google Account permissions at any time.
